Evaluation Associates has extensive experience with alternative investments and believes that this group of asset classes can be a solid source of added returns and diversification. We provide the full suite of services necessary to build and maintain a successful alternative investment program. We work closely with our clients in every part of the process, from building a strategic investment plan, to executing that plan through identifying top-quality funds, then implementing a commitment schedule for private investments to meet the client’s asset allocation goals. Hedge funds/Hedge fund of funds

We conduct due diligence on hedge fund managers and monitor investments as requested by our clients. Whether a hedge fund, or a fund-of-funds allocation, our goal is to identify institutional quality firms with appropriate staffing and infrastructure that have an appreciation for the need to control growth.

Private equity/Venture capital

Evaluation Associates has actively participated in this asset class since 1982; our clients have assets invested across a broad spectrum of strategies including venture capital and private equity, mezzanine, and distressed debt. A number of our clients also invest through fund of funds and secondary investment funds.

Real estate

We have provided real estate consulting services to clients since 1979. Private real estate coverage includes core, core plus, value added, and opportunistic strategies including both open-end and closed-end structures. We also cover publicly traded real estate investments including domestic, international, and global strategies.

Special situation & other

Additionally, we evaluate specialized private capital strategies such as timber, natural resources, infrastructure, and other nontraditional strategies.

Commodities

Evaluation Associates maintains coverage of the primary institutional providers of commodity strategies. The options in this space include index products as well as active strategies.
